Carrie Grant MBE is a BAFTA award-winning broadcaster with a TV and music career spanning 40 years. She has two Honorary Doctorates and an MBE for her services to Music, Media & Charity. Carrie is a Leadership Coach and has been President of the Unite Union for Community Practitioners and Health Visitors, Patient Lead for The College of Medicine, author of “SEND in UK Schools – A Parent View,” and bestseller, “A Very Modern Family.” She is an Ambassador for Crohn’s & Colitis UK, The Diana Award, The National Autistic Society and Adoption UK. 

Carrie is Mum to four children with special needs and various intersections, including adoption, gender, sexuality and race. Carrie is autistic and, for the past 12 years has run a support group for over 200 families.

👉Session 1 at 9am

-Navigating the world of SEND, surviving and co-production-

This session will comprise Carrie’s expertise as a leadership coach, parent with lived experience and how to navigate the maze that is Education, Health and Social Care. 

Carrie will detail the 8 Marks of Good Co-production.

👉Session 2 at 11am

-Strategies for multi-complex families-

Sharing from her latest best-selling book, "A Very Modern Family”, Carrie will detail parenting strategies that actually work and the theory behind strategies, empowering parents and professionals alike.

We are very excited to announce a keynote speech from Andy J Lewis MBE!

👋This is one for all parent carers and if possible, bring along your young people (ensure age appropriate) for an inspiring speech....

🏆Andy is a Paralympic champion aiming to support those wanting to achieve life goals. Andy has experienced mental health, anxiety, disability, ADHD & Dyslexia throughout his life yet continues to achieve great things. ‘Andy has used his life experiences and adversities to create a powerful message. It’s emotional, brutally honest, heartfelt yet funny and delivered GLOBALLY.’

Andy Lewis MBE is not just an inspirational Speaker on the subjects of Mental Health & Wellbeing but also a multi winning GOLD medallist in one of the toughest sports in the world- he is a Paralympic, World, European & British Champion⭐

Andy now works with schools, business owners & leaders delivering a range of packages to increase knowledge, awareness, inspiration and wellbeing. This can be a one hour session to a whole day of support!

After Andy’s speech we have games & snacks for young people in the restaurant. Bridging The Gap Together! will be facilitating this and offer a range of support for parent carers & neurodiverse young people. Just turn up & have some fun 🎲
