You Said, We Did

We need better communication and coordination.

We did….

-We continue to update the information available for parents, carers, and professionals and this is outlined on the new children’s community services website. Professionals and families can communicate with the services through dedicated phone lines and email which supports improved coordination and information sharing.

-A significant amount of work has also taken place within Sirona to move from paper-based records to an electronic record system. This will improve communication across professionals both within the service and with wider health colleagues.

-The survey highlighted specific issues regarding occupational therapy (OT) and mental health and Sirona are now providing weekly telephone advice lines for OT which enables families to contact the service and speak to a clinician about their concerns. Families are also able to access advice from CAMHS through the Getting Advice phone line: 0117 340 8570

or email: awp.camhsgettingadvice@nhs.net

or, if there is a more pressing situation, through the crisis telephone line 0800 953 9599.
