An Introduction To FASD. (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder).

NSPCWT are pleased to invite parent carers, their families and professionals working with children in North Somerset to a training session on An introduction into FASD.

Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs) are a group of conditions that can occur in a person who was exposed to alcohol before birth. These effects can include physical problems and problems with behaviour and learning.

In this introduction we will cover:

What is FASD and a basic introduction to the science behind it.

What it might look like and what behaviours you might see.

Tips and strategies that we have found helpful at home and in the classroom from lived experience.

North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together are incredibly excited to extend our training offer with more diverse topics to benefit you and your families.

This is a free training event for parent carers of children with additional needs and/or disabilities within North Somerset. This event is also open to professionals who work with children/young people with additional needs and/or disabilities in North Somerset. Priority on place allocation will be given based on the criteria above.
