North Somerset Parent Carers would like to invite parent carers, their families and professionals to join us with Catrina Lowri for training on Puberty and Gender in Autism.
This training will be filled with practical support and advice to empower parents in the knowledge of puberty and how this huge transition in a young persons life can differentiate in someone neurodivergent. Autism typically presents differently in male and females, and this is discussed at length on how to unpick behaviours and sensory needs to support your young person.
Along with the training, there will be plenty of time for parents to ask their questions, have discussions and learn from one another in the hope that we can give you some answers and tools to use at home, or to advise the school.
This is a free training event for parent carers of children with additional needs and/or disabilities within North Somerset. This event is also open to professionals who work with children/young people with additional needs and/or disabilities in North Somerset. Priority on place allocation will be given based on the criteria above.
North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together are incredibly excited to extend our training offer with more diverse topics to benefit you and your families.
