If you have a child or work with children with additional needs or disabilities, and they have dyspraxia or you have concerns that they may have dyslexia, join us for training with Sue Willis with act4send.

Dyspraxia, also known as developmental co-ordination disorder (DCD), is a common disorder that affects movement and co-ordination. Dyspraxia does not affect your intelligence. It can affect your co-ordination skills – such as tasks requiring balance, playing sports or learning to drive a car.

Throughout this training, we will support you to identify and support your child with dyspraxia and will give practical advice on ways to support children with a variety of difficulties.

You will have the opportunity to try out some of the ideas and ask questions to address specific concerns.

The trainer, Sue Willis from Act4SEND, has a vast wealth of experience in the field of inclusion. She has worked as an Advisory Teacher since 2013. Previously she taught in schools for 14 years and was a Special Needs Co-Ordinator for 8 years. Sue has studied Specific Learning Difficulties through a Postgraduate Diploma and is a qualified dyslexia and dyscalculia assessor. She also has experience of tutoring as a dyslexia specialist teacher.
