NSPCWT would like to invite parent carers to a online session via zoom with Sarah Bishop from SEND and you on a Educational Health Care Plan Q&A.
During this EHCP session, you will receive a 30 minute condensed training on EHCP's, followed by time to ask the specific questions that you may have relating to your child or young person.
Anyone who has a child or young person with SEND (special educational needs or a disability) may have to consider, or already have an educational health care plan in place. An education, health and care (EHC) plan is for children and young people aged up to 25 who need more support than is available through special educational needs support. EHC plans identify educational, health and social needs and set out the additional support to meet those needs.
They can be a nerve-racking and confusing for parent carers, and sometimes we have a few more questions than answers. This is why we have arranged this session with Sarah Bishop, whom we at NSPCWT work closely with to support parent carers and give them confidence and tools they need for their child or young person.
Please note that this session does not cover annual reviews.
SEND and you have been providing information, advice and support about SEND to children, young people and their parents and carers for thirty years. SEND and You now delivers the ‘SENDIAS’ (Special Educational Needs & Disability Information Advice & Support) service for three local authorities; Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together are incredibly excited to extend our training offer with more diverse topics to benefit you and your families.
