Mind in Somerset are a mental health charity. They are here to make sure anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn for advice and support. Their core purpose is to provide services and support to anyone affected by mental illness, improving their quality of life and wellbeing.

This training will include:

- Introduction to Mind in Somerset

- What is Mental Health and the continuum

- Statistics in Children and Young people (Vs. those with Diverse needs/ disability)

- Stigma & Barriers to disclosure of poor Mental Health

- Spotting the signs of Poor Mental health in Children and Young people

- C.A.R.E Acronym for providing support and measuring risk

- Recognising Boundaries and limitations of the care giver

- Importance of Self-care

- Signposting information and support available (North Somerset)
