We’ve been hearing from Parent Carers about the need to understand and support Autistic traits.

Scaling tools can be used to assist children in understanding social interactions and controlling their emotional responses. This workshop involves a practical look at some of the scaling tools we can use with our children, including The Incredible 5pt Scale and A Five Could Make me Lose Control.

By the end of the session you will:

• Have increased knowledge about the tools and their uses

• Understand how to create, implement and use scaling tools

• Learn hints and tips on how to put the knowledge into action.

The session will be delivered by Corrina Wood of Platypus Training. Corrina has been developing and delivering workshops and courses for over 10 years and is a qualified tutor. Her Masters in Autism focused on developing tools to increase awareness of Autism in wider family. This workshop is put together with a combination of research and lived experience of raising Autistic children.
