Parent Carer Financial Toolkit

Rhiannon has worked with parents and carers of those with additional or complex needs for many years; being well aware that there is a struggle to find credible, straightforward advice on how to provide for the future.

Having a son with Autism and having ran webinars and courses on all aspects of financial planning for special needs for years, Rhiannon has put together an introductory session, outlining the ‘top 5’ areas she is asked about most and offering tips and planning strategies specifically to help parent carers look after their families and of course, themselves.

NSPCWT have completed this session before, and would highly recommend this training for parent carers. It is extremely beneficial and will absolutely help you and your family with preparing for when your young person reaches 18.

The session will cover:

Wills and Trusts for Special Needs – what do you need to know

Decision making post-18 – how to help with financial decisions

Setting up savings plans

Your own financial plans – making sure parent carers are financially set

Top 5 ‘Financial Need to Knows’ for parent carers

This will be an introductory session for parent carers with time for questions at the end.

North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together are incredibly excited to extend our training offer with more diverse topics to benefit you and your families.
