Supporting your Neurodivergent child/young person with Personal Hygiene

For this project, the BNSSG Parent Carer Forums have joined together to provide and host a range of online and face-to-face workshops. To attend this workshop, you MUST live in Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire.

We would like to welcome parents who have a child with Autism, or they are on the waitlist for a diagnosis, or perhaps have noticed emerging needs to join us for training with Catrina Lowri on how to support their child or young person with their personal hygiene.

Due to sensory needs or other factors, children and young people may find maintaining their hygiene challenging, such as cleaning their teeth, brushing their hair or washing and dressing just as some examples. Catrina is here to help you find the strategies that may help in engaging your child in taking control of their hygiene and understanding the importance of this need.

We hope that we can offer you the advice, support and perhaps the understanding as to why they may find these things challenging, so you can implement changes to support your child.
