Understanding Puberty In Girls

🔆North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together are pleased to bring you free online training with Julie Alderson on Understanding puberty in girls🔆

👧Within this training we will look at how girls with additional needs or disabilities can be affected by puberty, and how you can support them through their change.

👩‍🦰We will support you in noticing what changes are hormonal and typical for a teenager & how it may affect the additional needs of your young person.

🔔Hormones in teenagers can often cause frustrations for the young person, and with additional needs this may become challenging for parents so we hope to be able to give useful advice on this.

💚Supporting your SEND young person with sexual education is important, and we will give you the appropriate guidance and support to navigate this as parents.

💬There will be time to ask your own specific questions about your young person.

😊This is a free training event for parent carers of children with additional needs and/or disabilities within North Somerset & professionals who work with them. Priority on place allocation will be given based on the criteria above.

🤝We would like to thank the Pears Foundation whose philanthropic support of NSPCWT has made this training freely available. The funding is part of the Government’s £750m charities package.
