Is your child awaiting an Autism assessment? Or are they showing signs of Autistic traits and you would like to learn more to help you understand how better to support your child?

Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) Parent Carer forums have teamed together to deliver a variety of workshops to provide information, support and practical guidance to help you on your journey. This workshop is an ONLINE session focusing on what happens next following an autism diagnosis.

To book a funded place on this workshop, you MUST live in Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire. The workshop is not designed for parents of children who already have an ASD diagnosis - if your child already has a diagnosis and you need support, please contact your local Parent Carer Forum to find out what support is available.

During this training you will receive guidance and support on how to process the diagnosis, what this means for your child/young person and your family, how to tell your family and ask for their help, how to start implementing strategies, how to tell your young person about their diagnosis, how and where to access support and much more.

This workshop will be presented online via zoom, where you will have chance to be interactive with the trainer and other participants, use the chat system in place and ask questions to get the most from an online training.

This workshop will be delivered by an SEND professional and an experienced SEND parent carer.
