Autism: Behaviour and Dysregulation

North Somerset Parent Carers would like to invite parent carers, their families and professionals to join us with Catrina Lowri for training on Behaviour and Dysregulation in Autism.

This training will be filled with practical support and advice to empower parents in the knowledge of why their child may behave as they do. All behaviour is communication, therefore during this training we will learn to unpick some of the common methods that children with autism use that may be challenging.

We will also look at how a child's regulation is so important to keep them calm and in control of their emotions, making it easier for parents to communicate with them.

Along with the training, there will be plenty of time for parents to ask their questions, have discussions and learn from one another in the hope that we can give you some answers and tools to use at home, or to advise the school.

This is a free training event for parent carers of children with additional needs and/or disabilities within North Somerset. This event is also open to professionals who work with children/young people with additional needs and/or disabilities in North Somerset. Priority on place allocation will be given based on the criteria above.

North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together are incredibly excited to extend our training offer with more diverse topics to benefit you and your families.
